From A Hen's Coop

P.S. Since i've recently started painting, drawing, crafting again so wholeheartedly, I have yet to discover my own style. An artist told me yesterday that every stroke, every line of an artist's work says something. I dont feel mine says much yet. I have yet to discover what my hands will say about my heart & soul and its an adventure im really looking forward to =D

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! The colours are so bright and beautiful! I just love the bird and flowers. And it's really appropriate too since spring is in the air!

I'm really truly impressed! I magnified the photos and looked them over in detail. I like how the white vines overlaps other colours in the first painting, it gives a really elegant and delicate effect. And of course the orange poppies being orange only adds to the brilliance. =P

There's something very oriental and exotic about the Bluebird painting. And I can't believe you used water colours! It's so neat. I showed it ammi and she agrees that water colour painting is not easy at all, you must have lot of control! Also, did you let the painting dry before you added the white bits on the bird?

And I think the cacti book is is very clever!

Your artwork has inspired me! I just bought myself a nice sketchbook, some oil pastels and I'm planning on getting some acrylics. I also need a few good pencils. =D

Where's the chimp disappeared off to?

AND YOUR WRITING HAS INSPIRED ME! Im going to peg away at pome writing tonite. feeling very out of touch with my writerly skills and i dont like it.

start with the oil pastels, they always give colorful and jolly results!! you love bright colors so oil pastels will be best tools for this.

LOUD AND HEARTY HURRAH FOR LAME!!!!!!

p.s. just waiting to read Chimp's comments tommorow morning =) He's promised to do it. and being the good ol' man of his words, not wanting to disappoint his felllow animals, i just knw he wont go back on it =)

A Zebra and A Hen

Once upon a time there was a zebra and a hen (they still are, but fairy tales are always told in past tense). They were both very, very lazy. And both were also somewhat ambitious and passionate. Being both lazy and ambitious is an excruciatingly painful experience for a person. And then when you add being passionate into the mix, one or the other has to win. So the battle between their lazy nature, and their ambitious nature began...with a passion. The result of this battle is still not known, but both the zebra and the hen have become quite aware of the battle, and have decided to test themselves.

Every 15 days they must achieve an achievement--which in this case comes in the shape of their art. The hen likes to doodle, and the zebra enjoys stretching the truth. Each must produce a piece of art--however inartistic--every two weeks. And what if they don't? Well laziness has won the battle, that's what.
